All materials used in the construction of your equipment conform to the relevant Australian standards. Playgrounds are typically manufactured from a variety of materials depending upon the design, location and requirements. These could be steel, plastic, fibreglass, timber, stainless steel, aluminium, recycled plastic or timber composite. We take into account the distance from the coast, amount of direct sunlight, surrounding area and ground type when recommending different materials.
Our traditional playgrounds are made with aluminium non-slip decks and components manufactured from locally sourced galvanised steel. Fabrication takes place in our Wangara factory. It is then powder coated in-house using a 3 step process of Zinc Primer, Metaprep and a topcoat in the nominated colour. Aluminium and Stainless steel are options for coastal areas.
The Slides and tunnels used on our playgrounds are made from UV Stabilized, Anti-static Rotomoulded LD Polyethylene or Fibreglass. Our slide suppliers are locally owned and run businesses and work to the standards specific to their industries.
Our timber and Natureplay items are hardwood sourced from our own South West where the logs are harvested and sourced from sustainably managed forests by the Western Australian Government's agency, the Forest Products Commission (FPC).
Our Ropes are constructed of Polyamide (Nylon) Rope Cable with UV Guard. Each rope consists of 6 strands, each containing 24 steel reinforced strands within a polyamide sleeve, wrapped around a polyamide core.
Where possible we will buy local, supporting Australian businesses.
